Wondering what happened to photo 87? Me too! Until I realized I just forgot to mark my last Project 365 post title to include it. 🙂

Easter was great around here. Wonderful service at church. Two easter egg hunts and lunch with family.

But the day did start with a tragedy. My uncle passed away.

Early that morning, I spent my time booking a flight back to Puerto Rico for my mom and praying that God console my grandmother, our family and his other family as best possible.

As I write this, I still can’t believe he’s gone.

And I feel like a schmuck for not having kept in touch with him more often or sharing my life with the girl as much. (He was never computer savvy, so that meant printing photos and snail mailing.) I mean, the last time he ever saw the girl she was 7 months old. This year, she’ll be 3 in September. That was way too long a gap of time.

I need to send more photos via mail to our family.

You should send more, too.

How often do you print and mail photos?

I can't believe how big she is now! The photos are gorgeous. I'm so sorry to hear of your uncle's passing, I'm sending thoughts and prayers your way. You're right though, I never print and send photos anymore. I really should.

It was a bit of a shock really. It makes the thought of going home for me just a little bit less happy. Bittersweet. Each time I lose someone it's always bittersweet coming home to the place with all of the memories. Thank you Libby. Reply
