Ever have a week where you’re just not so happy with your photos?
This is that week for me.
Except for the hair puffs. Who could ever be unhappy staring at a child with hair puffs?
This week was my mom’s 65th birthday. My brother “orchestrated” a surprise visit with her for us. I say orchestrated, because it involved my brother rearranging his already time-strapped schedule before his flight back to Hong Kong, a 12 hour trip on their part and a 3 hour trip on our part, lots of secrecy and much bribing of the girl.
But in the end, my mom was surprised, my uncle’s got a visit from me and the girl got to meet more family. Makes for a happy weekend.
So yea, I’m not so happy about my photos this week. Some of them seem blurry, others uninspired. Not to mention, while I love my Macbook Air for working on projects and uploading my photos, I dislike it for editing. The screen just isn’t big enough for editing with Adobe products once you add all the toolbars in.
My unhappiness may be why you see more washed out, semi-black and white this week. (Is there a word for this style of photography?) Somehow I feel like it fixes everything for me.
Any suggestions for editing with a small screen?
