Watching the girl grow up is such an experience. She’s sweet, loving, friendly and outgoing. Loves baby dolls and dress up, twirling in the middle of the room and running around in circles. Getting tickled, tickling and cuddling with mami or daddy. She really likes ducks and seems to love all things girly.
When I got the manicure for vacation, she was in love with my nails. She’d grab my hands and say “Mami, they’re beautiful.”
So I thought we’d have some fun and paint her nails, too.
She loved her messy manicure. I love those itty, bitty dimples in her tiny hand.
We went to a birthday party that week and had a blast…
Even when she was blocked from sticking her hand into the icing for a second time.
I did promise to tell you guys what we got in place of the Explorer, so, TADA! It’s a Nissan Quest! While I fought the good fight against the soccer mom mobile, I hate to say that I’m really liking the minivan. Made the vacation trip a breeze and life a ton easier.
Since school is getting ready to start, I’ve been collecting and photographing all of the girl’s artwork from last year. I’m sure we’ll have more new artwork this coming school year…
We’ve been having trouble potty training the girl. She just doesn’t seem to care that she’s wet or dirty.
She seems to respond well to getting surprises, so I picked up a bunch of dollar items and put them gift bags. I’m hoping the excitement of a gift for a successful trip helps motivate her. Suggestions?
The girl is starting to love all the girlie things girls love. She especially loves these necklaces she got for my birthday… Yes, I did say my birthday.
She’s getting spoiled.

Love these - particularly the last one of the necklaces - great colors! I wish I could give you advice about potty training - we're in the midst of it with our girl, too. She'll do great one day and not care the next - sigh. Good luck!

Argh! What is that lack of concern with potty training, right? Ours is the same way. Once in a blue moon she'll tell us she has to go, so we do the mad chicken run to the bathroom... and then nothing. lol
What is it they say? Most kids are out of diapers by kindergarten? Yay? :/
Wishing you the best of luck, too, Kellie!

What a wonderful week! I love the bold colors in your photos. ;) I love your idea for collecting and photographing all of your daughter's art. I wish I had done that for my kids starting last year. I suppose there's no time like the present to start, right? Enjoy the Mom Mobile! Everyone I know who has one loves it!!

The art has been floating around the house all summer and we already got our first piece of art last week. some of the pieces I really like... as in I would put them on our walls. We just don't really have anything on our walls... I should do something about that, right? No time like the present!

I love all the baby girl details! My little one is 20 months old and girly as can be already. I know there's more coming! Those little pink nails are priceless. :)
