(Notice how I snuck in my monthly photo with the girl… one of my goals for this year… at the last minute?)

I was using Lightroom to catalog and process my photos, but my trial ran out. For the life of me, I can’t bring myself to buy it right now. I *thought* I saw it priced under $100 at one time, but it hasn’t dropped past $114 in a month.

Yea, yea… I know I’m cheap.

So I’m waiting and resorted to using Photoshop Elements to process my photos again. I feel like I get better processing out of Lightroom than I do Photoshop, but that may be just me.

What’s your go-to processing software?

Yay! You got your self-portrait in! And it's a cute one too! :)

I use Aperture to process my photos, but I'm still a long way from learning all its ins and outs. I'm only able to do very basic things with it right now. I think a tutorial might do me some good.... ;)

I've thought about using Aperture, but then that ties me to one platform. Makes it hard when I need to swap computer sometimes and work on a PC. :/ Definitely go find a tutorial! It's so much nicer when you can see what your software can really do. Reply

I love the shot under the blanket! And what a great idea to get yourself in a shot each month. I love it.

I use Lightroom for most of my editing. I use photoshop sometimes, but I feel like I am much faster in Lightroom, so I have a much better chance of keeping up.

I noticed the "fastness" with Lightroom as well. The other day, I was totally missing my Sync button. Reply

Great shots -- I love her little "office" in the box. Super Happy.

I was given photoshop elements for Christmas, but I have still barely used it. Don't tell me lightroom is better -- but I guess I cant complain when it was a gift :)

I wouldn't say it's better, just that it has features I could really use at this moment. And while sometimes, for me, Lightroom does seem to lead to faster/easier editing, Elements is nothing to snub your nose at. Plus, as you edit photos, you can layer your work instead of editing the direct file. That means if you don't like an edit you made, you can go back and change just that edit, instead of having to step back through your history of edits just to get to one... if that makes sense. You inspire me too! Did you make the sheep? love them! Is that your little girl saying "HI"? Gosh she's adorable! love this moment captured! I also love how you got your self in a photo..i've also been trying to do the same! In the photo with the steps it makes me wonder where she's going. The steps lead me through the photo and right to her. I think the on of her sitting in the box is one of my favorites. I love this idea and what a fun capture!

I use PS and LR4. But I have soo much learning to do on both.

No, I didn't make the sheep. :( I bought them to do some stock photography for Easter, but I need to fix my lightbox setup to help me get a better seamless background. It's in the works, but other things keep popping up...

The little girl is not mine. But she's so cute, right? I'm always trying to win her over. She's a tough sell, but I know she likes to have her photo taken, so I'm always snapping shots of her!

As for the box, my girl just did that herself. She does some of the silliest things! Reply
