Mi querida niña,
You are getting so tall and losing your baby face. Where did my little one go? I can’t promise you I will stop saying that any time soon…
The other day we tried on some of your summer clothes that should have fit. You’re still my 4 year old baby, but those size 5 shorts from last year were just too snug on you! How is it even possible I need to buy you size 6 for the summer? Sadly, we are officially out of the toddler sizes and into young girls.Toddler tops are too small, dresses too short, pants too snug… one good growth spurt and any size 5 clothing I buy you now will be a done deal. I completely understand why consignment sales are so popular!
We’ve been playing with a lot more LEGO these days. You have a growing collection of little bricks roaming around the house… but the funny thing is, every single time we go to the LEGO store, you gravitate towards the Duplos.Your daddy has been wondering if he made a mistake skipping over your Duplo stage. However, I watch you as you watch tv on your iPad with your minidolls lined up right infront of the screen. I think we’re okay having skipped over the Duplos… you’re happy with your minifigures.
This month, we celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Your school asked us to send you off in pajamas for the day. It was all you could talk about for weeks after. “It was so much fun!”… “I wish we could dress and pajamas every day!”… I wish you could dress in pajamas every day, too, baby girl. It would make mornings so much easier.
Until the day we can wear pajamas everywhere…
Te quiero, mi gallinita!
